The Story Of The Great Axis Rebellion

By Nick Kolan If you’re not familiar with Wargaming. Narrow corridors are replaced by wide, open vistas, and your range of weapons are replaced by A whole world of them, actually. The structure of World of Tanks is session-based, like playing a round of Counter-Strike, and like Counter-Strike there are two ways to win each session. Either destroy all of your opponents or capture their base. Tank combat in World of Tanks is, for the most part, satisfying. When you land a shell right in the rear of an enemy tank, the solid thud of the impact is very convincing, and you feel like you’re at the wheel of a brutally powerful machine of war. Exit Theatre Mode Much of the combat in World of Tanks has at least some element of luck, and at times that luck can work against you to such a degree that it becomes frustrating and infuriating. This is most evident in the way tanks aim, which is displayed by a circle that widens with movement and slowly narrows the longer you stay still. Even if you’re completely immobile long enough for the targeting circle to become as narrow as possible, there will always be some leeway, and that leeway, over large distances, can cause you to miss more often than you hit.

Men Fought The Nazis, Women Slept With Them

You pay your money, you take your choices [Last Updated January 18 ] There are quite a few premium vehicles in World of Tanks, sprinkled across the various nations, classes, and tiers. As stated above; premium vehicles come in a variety of forms, and there are a few limitations on what they can be. Generally speaking and there are exceptions , premium tanks will be slightly inferior to fully upgraded tanks of the same class and tier.

They span tiers 2 to 8 and have a few special quirks; as one example, a premium vehicle can use crew trained on vehicles of the same class at no penalty. But enough of that; you can read more about them on the wiki. And finally as disclaimer; I have not personally driven all of the tanks I will be talking about.

Adding player skill to the equation would disrupt the very idea behind Random Battles. Although the mode has rules, there is an element of randomness to each battle, and the thrill that comes with it is what we all love about Random Battles.

I discuss the importance of flexing to prevent a flank from collapsing and the arguments against capping too early instead of pressing an advantage. Holding the high ground provides the following benefits: T Review, Contributing as Bottom Tier I discuss how to meaningfully contribute as a bottom-tier medium tank, with footage from a tier 10 Serene Coast battle in my T That said, even with a low penetration gun, by carefully watching the minimap and being opportunistic, I was able to make a solid contribution.

Additional Comments props to the STB-1 driver ahmechanic2 who played very well throughout the battle at 4: I have a tendency to be chatty during matches, and sometimes it screws me up. The mistake is that when I started pulling back, I stayed too close to the rocks on my left — as a result I a created a bigger gun depression challenge in terms of getting my gun down on the target.

You can see that I start wiggling just to the right of the rock a bit, but realized I was taking too much time and lost the opportunity. I discuss and make two common mistakes: I also demonstrate how to leverage the terrain on hill to safely fire on target s while minimizing exposure to snipers in their base.

T32 Matchmaking

Being odd and unusual. Posted 20 February – AM Those Win predictions are not only useless, but also deceiving and harmful as they take away time thinking about plan A and plan B at the start of every match. The Chi-Ri has been my special tank since before the tech tree was even released. I was not going to accept it! When I’m top tier, there’s no excuse, if my team lost, I blamed myself. Sure others didn’t pull their own weight.

Feb 12,  · Tier 8 Premiums w/o Preferential Matchmaking = Damned Near Worthless Against Tier 10 – posted in General Discussion: There is nothing worse than a tier VIII premium in tier 10 match. lol Talk about complete ineptitude. Being bottom tier in a tier X match already sucks, but man, get a premium in there like a T34 or a Lowe and youre woefully out of your depth. lol You get shot by a tier X in.

General info T34 in the garage. It was introduced in Update 1. A formidable heavy tank with thick armour and a heavy gun, the T34 presents a radically new tank design than any of its predecessors. The main purpose, usage and tactics recommendations General play style Tactics Specific enemies worth noting The T34 is a very strong tank and few tanks have the guns to take it out effectively from the battlefield. If you’re fighting tanks of your own BR or lower, the German long 88 mm guns whether it be PaK guns or KwK guns will be able to contest your armour at close range if used well.

The Russians also have a few weaponry that can be used against the T34, be on the lookout for tanks which utilize the mm, such as the T , SU P , or SU These mm shells will not struggle too much against your hull or turret, at least at close range. The same can be applied to the ISU variants. The tanks mentioned above can be dealt with against with relative ease at medium range with the mm cannon. Another country which catches most people off guard is France. The AMX and Lorraine 40t with their magazine systems will shred your armour given if they have the time to aim properly.

Their shot rounds will break your gun breech quickly, but if you play well the T34’s armour will hold up. At long range, tanks with the long 88 mm guns will only be able to penetrate with the APCR at you, which in effect makes your upper hull armour very good, since APCR does not fare well against slopes. The turret face being very flat can put you at a disadvantage most of the time.

T8 Matchmaking is Broken in World of Tanks

Very low penetration for its tier Very large silhouette A priority target for artillery R2D2 miniturret on the front hull is large, obvious, easy to hit and allows any intelligent player to eliminate this tank easily. Despite its enormous weight, the tank is able to reach a good speed for a heavy tank. This makes the KV-5 an excellent ramming tank. The mm gun ZIS-6M gun is effective, although the penetration is poor for its tier.

The use of APCR ammunition is recommended.

World of Tanks on Console — KNOW YOUR WAR! The T medium tank was to be a modification of the T Unlike the Type 59, the T featured reduced armor and the mm gun.

Billy Chubbs Billy Chubbs is a early 20’s Millennial with an impressive university degree in English and an equally impressive Electrician’s certification. He recently joined the Canadian Military and is currently serving as an officer. You can tell him how much you hate him via Twitter or just send him some good old fashioned hate mail.

A grand total of four of my forebears served in the Canadian Army during WW2—one in the air force, as part of a bomber crew, one as a tanker he died just after the new year in , when his tank was destroyed , and two others as regular old infantry men. He saw the most of the war, grinding his way across France and Holland and Germany while personally experiencing some of the epic events that are now ingrained forever in history.

He survived run-ins with Tiger tanks, fought against elite Waffen SS divisions and saw a concentration camp Bergen-Belsen firsthand. The most harrowing event of his service happened during the drawn out battle for the Carpiquet Airfield , located close to the Normandy coastline. At the time the Germans believed that the British and Canadian armies were the biggest threats, and concentrated the majority of their elite panzer and SS divisions against them, making the battle bloody and protracted.

Unfortunately my great uncle was near the front of the column. He was one of the few up there not to be killed or wounded immediately.

Another useful information is the way, in which World of Tanks selects players to the team. Beginner tankers playing with their friends often complain that their vehicle is not able to damage enemy machines, because they are too high tier.

I wanted money faster then i have been earning the last time, i have been earning mind you but when you are grinding multiple lines at ones, silver gets tight. I needed to buy several tanks, the cromwell at k, the IS-8 at 3. I wanted silver and i wanted it fast! So i did some research and it seems the 2 tanks that are currently in store that make the most money are the IS-6 and the T The IS-6 i have met many times in game and quite frankly i’m less afraid of a well driven IS-6 then i’m of a well driven T34, combined with the fact the IS-6 has a low penetration value so gold ammo is always recommended but has prefrerential matchmaking made me choose the T And i topped it off with a nice month of premium.

Ok to begin, the T32 is an awesome tank and this is not to downplay the T32 in anyway.

Thomas Hobbes Thomas Hobbes is an Australian uni student hiding out in his mother’s basement waiting for the singularity to arrive. As a backup plan he is secretly hoping to avoid the perils of an actual career by becoming a writer and travelling the world. It was, it seemed, a time of great peril, when Britain stood alone against the monstrous tyranny of Nazi Germany.

Starting off our list of the best Premium tanks in World of Tanks is one of the lowest tiered Premium tanks available and a place worth starting if you’re looking to try out Premium tanks. The T2 Light is a USA Tier 2 of the Light tank variety, making it a remarkably nimble vehicle.

Leave a comment I already own a number of premium tanks. However, for various reasons I do desire more. These are not inclinations I will be able to act on in the near future, but for when I do have some free gold here is my current shopping list. The reasons are almost entirely aspergic. Unlike many premiums it does not benefit from any special matchmaker, but I do not mind that. This is the missing one.

Essentially I want, at some point, a high-tier German premium. Finally out of the trio of British premium tanks it is the one that interests me the most. Does that make me strange? M22 Locust — Tier III American Light — gold Low-tier premiums I generally find a lot of fun, but I also think this little speedster would be very good for practising scout tanking in a lower-tier setting. It is so small and light the difference between it and Tier V heavies it might face would be an interesting challenge.

Something about the T34 annoys me. Most of the rest though — well, as can be seen above, they are on the list. On one level the above is quite a silly exercise, on the other it is always nice to have something to aim for.

T and T The Soviet T medium tank of the s is considered to have the best balance of firepower F tank gun By the time the T was ready for production, the T had also been modified to fit the same gun. Although the T was superior in most other ways, by this time T production was in full swing and the massive numbers of T s being built offset any advantage to smaller numbers of a superior design. The T was produced in only small numbers, around 2, being completed during the war.

Many premium tanks (such as the T34 and Type 64) get standard matchmaking and are expected to perform equally as well as corresponding tanks of their tier. Premium tanks’ gold values are displayed on their respective pages.

Collapse With the numerous rebalances fresh off to production servers in Update 9. The all-round Tech Tree revision is designed to revitalize vehicles that grew obsolete over the years. The Caernarvon raised many questions with its combination of heavy tank HP pool and mobility married to medium tank armour, low alpha, and an accurate gun. We gave it a new gun with reasonable alpha and thicker armor to turn it into a proper heavy at the cost of its two 20 pounders.

To put it into perspective: The Tier VIII Brit also had its top turret replaced with the better-armored Centurion pdr and received some extra side protection to its hull. To compensate for improved survivability and firepower, we slightly decreased its mobility and maneuverability. It can take a punch and stand up to top-tier TDs without getting crippled in a matter of seconds, while a powerful gun with impressive pen and alpha to match lets it spearhead the assault.

It also benefits from a new top turret with spaced armor in its front part, while the current option becomes a stock turret. To prevent it from turning into unstoppable force that rains destruction at long range, we toned down its mobility and rate of fire. The newcomer is a natural step-up from the Conqueror. Heavily armored, loaded with a powerful gun, and good at several roles, it deserves an overview of its own, which it will get closer to release.
